Moon Shadow VI is a completely outfitted luxury cruising yacht ready for your off-shore adventure. She is well outfitted with all of the equipment you could possibly want for sailing around the world.

She includes 2 separate cabins; one queen coach birth, one quarter birth, and two single sea berths, one on each side of the main saloon. The fully equipped galley offers double sink in an island, hot and cold running water, hand pumps for fresh and salt water, a propane 3 burner stove and oven, a refrigerator and a freezer. Hans Christian 38 MKII is a traditional double ender cutter rig sailboat, designed by American, Harwood Ives, build in the Shin Fa boatyard in Taipei, Taiwan, by skilled Chinese carpenters, using American made hardware. The interior is all teak and is a work of art. Hand built boats of this quality are no longer commercially viable. Built heavy for blue water sailing, this boat boasts the strongest hull in the industry with 10,300 pounds of iron glassed into its 6’2” keel. The current owner has fully refitted this vessel with every system fully reworked, or in most cases, replaced over the last 11 years. This is a completely modern sailing vessel in a strong, sea kindly form.

Cutter rigged with an off-shore Harken roller furled jib and stay sail for easier handling and good performance sailing. The main sail has triple slab reefing with jack lines and many other features to optimize sail management. She is easily handled by a shorthanded crew and has been single handed over hundreds of sea miles.

All standing rigging was redesigned and replaced including a new boom. She has new sails, blocks, winches, tracks, carbon fiber reaching pole, jamb cleats, boom vang and much more.

The 50 hp Beta diesel was installed new in 2008 and includes several recent upgrades and many spares, 1750 hours.

A new battery bank, 150 amp alternator and three stage regulator were installed in 2016.

Topsides display 8 coats of varnish, a fresh coat applied late last year. New canvas has been installed on dodger, bimini, a connecter, helm pedestal, life raft and propane tanks.

The teak decks have been replaced on the cabin tops, completely refurbished on the side decks and cockpit, and are in beautiful condition.

The bottom was stripped to bare fiberglass, faired, and resealed with six coats of epoxy barrier coat, and new bottom paint was applied last year.

The electrical system includes Xantrex 1000 charger/inverter with battery monitor/controller and has a complete new wiring system, panels, lighting, etc.
