Coast Salish First Nations Receive Fallen Trees

Van Isle Marina is pleased to announce that the local Coast Salish First Nations received many fallen trees last week that had been removed for a new Yacht Storage and Repair Facility at the marina. In Cooperation with C-1 Contractors Ltd and the First Nations Program Manager of the Gulf Islands Park Reserve the sections of trees were delivered to the local Coast Salish First Nations for use in a wide range of cultural activities such as firewood during the winter longhouse ceremonial season. In our development, the old trees will be replaced by dozens of new trees provided by the marina for the benefit of our community.
