Sidney Canada Days 2012
Join the Town of Sidney in celebrating Canada Day June 30th and July 1st. This is a weekend long event that is filled with fun activities, live entertainment, fireworks, and a parade.
Saturday, June 30th:
- Thrifty Foods Community Barbecue from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Beacon Park. This is a family event that celebrates Canada’s birthday with activities and entertainment
- Starting at 7:45 pm, indulge yourself with the Canada Day Big Cake along with live entertainment performed by Soul 62 at Sidney Beacon Park
- Fireworks Extravaganza starts at 10:00 pm at the Sidney Waterfront. This is an amazing fireworks show that you don’t want to miss!
Sunday, July 1st:
- Celebrate Canada Day with the Sidney Days 2k/5k run and walk starting at 8:00 am. Registration begins at 6:45 am
- After your run/walk, enjoy the Sidney Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast starting at 9:00 am at the Mary Winspear Centre
- At 11:00 am watch the Sidney Canada Day Parade that starts at Beacon Ave and goes along Resthaven Drive
