Alexander grew up in White Rock and crossed the Strait to study at UVIC, telling anyone who would listen that he would be back on the mainland the day after graduation. Ten years later, he is still here. These days, his favourite crossings take him to the Gulf Islands.
After several years brokering boats in the local market, Alexander joined Van Isle Marina in fall 2026, drawn by the people and the culture that have made the marina a Sidney institution since 1955.
His own time on the water is spent aboard his 1978 CHB trawler, a classic that has taught him plenty about teak, diesel, and patience. On a summer weekend, there is a good chance you will find him anchored in a quiet local cove.
Clients appreciate Alexander’s enthusiasm, work ethic, and care in helping them navigate a purchase or sale and take the next step in their boating lives. He enjoys staying in touch with clients long after the sale, often catching up out on the water.
Off the dock, you will find him on the tennis court, the golf course, or exploring a new destination, though the Pacific Northwest always calls him home.
