Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility is an essential building block for community and business sustainability. It proactively promotes the public interest by encouraging community growth and development. Socially responsible actions also reward us with a sense of satisfaction and pride as well as political and social credibility for the marina industry and our business.

As active partners in our natural and social community we will contribute our time, financial and material resources for the benefit of our community. The criteria listed below are guidelines for giving back to our community:

  • Geographic areas of consideration listed in priority are: Sidney, Saanich Peninsula and Victoria
  • We will show greater favor to capital initiatives that provide long-term benefit
  • Significant contributions will go toward infrastructure
  • Contributions will go toward sports, arts and cultural entities and activities
  • Contributions will not necessarily be focused on marine-oriented interests but marine interests should be given priority
  • We will donate personal time to community organizations
  • All employees will be supported and encouraged to participate in community organizations
  • We will support political causes through financial contributions or individual participation
  • We will sponsor initiatives designed for youth
  • We will help maintain, and contribute to, sustainable efforts focused on the marine environment
  • We will contribute $25,000 to charity and non-profit organizations each fiscal year
