Guided Tours at the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre

The Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre is an aquarium and marine education centre focused on the amazing ecosystem of the Salish Sea. It showcases the colourful beauty of our local wildlife and gives a glimpse into what lies below the surface. The SODC‘s purpose statement is: “[To] connect people with the oceans’ ecosystem through engagement, education and awareness. Operate as the friendly face of science by offering relevant programming and championing eco- partnerships.”

On January 21st, 2013 they began running guided tours of the centre. The beauty of this tour is that it’s perfect for regulars and newcomers alike! Participants will be led by their own personal Oceaneer and take a close look at all of the amazing creatures living in underwater habitats. And if you have questions, your guide will have answers! Tours are offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 2:30pm at no additional cost, however advanced bookings are required.
