Victoria Symphony Splash
One of the most exciting and unique summer events in Victoria is the Victoria Symphony Splash held annually on the BC Day long weekend. The Victoria Symphony hosts the event and is one of their main fundraisers.
This year’s Symphony Splash is on July 31st, 2011 and is located in the Inner Harbour which is turned into an outdoor stage with a barge for the musicians to perform on. The day and evening festivities end with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, complete with bells, cannons, and fireworks!
The Symphony Splash begins with the Family Zone between 1-4pm and the musical entertainment follows.
Symphony Splash is free, however there is a suggested donation of $5 and you receive a Splash Button to indicate your support of the event.
This is a spectacular concert that attracts up to 40,000 Victoria residents and visitors annually.
